Stop that coughing Kitty!

Yeah, my lungs hate me, but I got an inhaler and the area doctor said some other things I can take so I'm not worried, it has to do with asthma after an illness, normal but still annoying. So I've been coughing and Hna Baker was super worried, I was fine but called the docter anyway :)

Other than that we've had a good start to this transfer, other than being caught up in the house to see if that would help me. I'm in the same district as Hnas Carson and Orton! Our Elders are great boys, I don'thave any of their names down except for Elder Howard who is our district leader. We have good goals and I'm excited. We're working with a man and the woman he lives with who's less active and we want them to get married and him to be baptized.

We're also getting to know the ward a lot more and they are all AMAZING!!!! They're so incredible, we're a branch but we're growing and they all want to be a ward and help us make them a ward :) I love White! We need to find more still but that'll happen when I can breath :P Chiste. Yes I live only with Hna. Baker this time. Her name is Heidi, she's so great!

I'm so glad to hear about Joseph! Hna. Baker's brother got his call for Korea this last week and she's been talking about him with the members and I've been thinking about Joseph more than usual. It's so great to be a missionary! Oh! Look up, Life is a Game of Football by Troy Dunn. It's an old EFY talk that I've grown to LOVE! But as a missionary we learn the blessings that come and that

God really is in control, that He will take care of us if we accept it. I love hearing that mom, thank you! I also remember that my president sent me the emails while I was still at home, I couldn't understand them at all but I got them, so I'm sure the mission presidente would be ok to get emails from a soon to be Elder!

Yay! "I love weddings, drinks all around!"....like Sprite.....and lemonade.

I was also musing at how God gives me different skills, and it usually comes through things that happen and I need to handle well. It's amazing, there was a talk that said praying for patience but wanting it now, doesn't work. I love the way our Father teaches us. Our Heavenly Father really does know what He's doing, we just need to have the faith and the works to trust him with our lives not just with our Sunday hours. I love this gospel, I love this church, I love this work!
I love you so much Mom! I hope everything is going well and you're enjoying the warmth!
LOVE!

Yes, yes I was transfered to White, it's spelled a lot simpler than I was thinking it was. I asked the elders when they'd be passing by and they told us they thought about 10 in the morning, cool, awesome, lets do this. We get everything ready and get a call at about 9 from the assistants asking us where we lived because they were in Dorrego already!

Ok, not a problem, get all the bags out into the van thing and then they ask if Hna. Clark has a backpack or something that she'll be bringing, and we thought.....Hna. Clark is staying in Dorrego, and the assistants told us that she was going to another area for three days to wait for her new companion. She hadn't gotten dressed yet....she hurried and got clothes in a bag and hurried out with us, then we went to puerredon to drop off Hna. Carson and pick up Hnas.

We get to the other area and I say goodbye to Hna. Clark, sigh, hasta ver! We then go to White! It's so cute and wonderful! We got a call from one of the memebers asking if we wanted to come to lunch with them today! They'll take care of us.

We also stopped by the Branch President's house to have him fill out some forms from the baptisms they just had here. They're all super nice! I'm really excited to work here and I may or may not end my mission here. We'll see. Hna. Baker is the oldest of 5. She is from Pleasant View (north Ogden) Utah, and is really great! Let's see.....what will I miss about Dorrego, the members, the country, maybe living with 4, how tranqual it is......I don't know, I may find things as I go.

Ah, Brian Reagan is always fun :) I find myself thinking about some of his acts sometimes. Yes! Video specialist/tech support lives on! THAT's where the iPad came from.....because you are my tech savvy mom!

I'm glad you liked the card! I sometimes have a hard time being creative in cards :) When I come home....December is still the plan and I would love to come back with you all after I'm not a missionary, but I'm not sure how the new president will handle things. Our pres right now says changes will probaby be made so we're just not sure. I think the coughing is from the previous.......

JUNE!!!!! How crazy crammed! But how great is that that so many good things are happening! I feel like summer generally gets planned that way though, something fun and different every week, that's why it goes flying!

Seeing you all was so great and I'm still weirded out that I won't do another skype session in my mission. The skype was free and we used the church phone to call saturday so there's no financial loss that I know of.

I'm also not able to send things of value to Dorrego right now, so we'll see. You guys are all so great! Thank you so much for your help, for being there when I was talking to you! and that you email me every week! I love you so much Mom! I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day!

We watched The Testaments in castillano a few times this last week and Kohor's character says this and we just think it's really funny, so sometimes Hna. Clark and I will say it to each other in that weird Kohor voice. This week went soooo fast! Again! I feel like every week is getting faster and faster. But I think it gets that way when you have more than one transfer with a companion. Hna. Clark is great! She's been kind of sick lately and I've gotten to use my senor companion power and tell her to go to bed and drink some weirdy orange tea that I made (from our orange trees outside and some vit-C tablets). She's of good humor though, as always. I'm doing better, I'm not coughing and my head feels better so I guess it's Hna. Clark's turn. Tonight we have another FHE with C and we're gonna watch the 15 min Restoration movie and talk about chastity, that the last big rock to teach. After that we have his interview on thursday (Elder Dalton's, our district leader, first baptism interview!)! We're excited. We would have liked to have his daughter baptized the same day but she hasn't been listening really and we're not sure what to decide there....because after he's a member she techinically could be baptized....we'll ask the bishop. But we're going to work more with another family who the father already has a testimony and the mom is just waiting for a sign. So we'll work with them a lot. Other than that we are figuring out what we'll do with Skype, we officially officially can, but this weekend is also transfers, so we won't know if we need to call earlier or if we can later until at least friday, I'm assuming we'll be in touch somehow. I was wondering about what time you all have church, and I know you like to go to grandma's for Mother's Day, so we'll try to work around those times.

In response:
You're so cute Mom! I always wonder what kind of tough Dad deals with, cause I know it can be stressful. But I'm glad creative food fun can help :) OH! That's so cute what the girls did! I love those tender mercies of God, it helps us realize that we really are the angels for one another. I hope to do that more in my life. Kathy does look rather young, and down here, we have grandmothers in their 30s. But I don't know where that person was coming from because everyone here says you look so young when I show my photos, and they say you're really pretty :) I always love the fast and testimony meetings, it's beautiful how simple they really can be and sometimes should be. Yeah, Neoquin is the south part of Argentina, I got the Bible, BOM and a cover for my Hymnal, they have fronts and backs :) As far as I know I still do not have Andrew's letter, and with transfers it may be a bit until I get it, but I'm on the lookout :) YES! I got the facebook pictures! Jacob's a stud, poor kid, so many girls, so little time! But I'm glad he had fun. And I'm not too worried about the girls that didn't go to prom, I never went to prom and I think I'm ok....I'm ok right? Ha ha :) He's such a good kid! OOOOOOOOhhh, I may need to make frosting for something :)  I learned the "hard is good" from the talk you sent me my first transfers in Argentina, the story about the kid and his theropy and how he wouldn't be the same after, he'd be so much better. That has helped me a lot out here. Thank you Mom! Love and Kindness, Charity really, are so important, I pray for them daily, I want them badly. Thank you so much Mom! I love you and hope that you know that. Get ready to open your envelope! Oh! I'm going to try to come up with question to talk about so if you want to do that too it could be fun! And we'll be in contact about Skype, hours and things. I really have no idea when it'll be so it's hard to guess. I love you!

These are few and far between, and sadly all I have :S  The elders are my district leader and his companion and Elder Gravelle

What to title this week....In the middle of the ni-i-ight, I was walking in my sleep! April 30

I felt like that happened a couple times, I got up went to the bathroom, went to see if the door was locked and went back to bed, so it wasn't really in my sleep but it works :)
This week went SO fast! So we went to Bahia to have our interviews. Pres. is being released after.....5? years as a president and we're getting another one in July I think, we'll have another conference with him but I think that was the last one on one interview. It was good, I always cry during the prayers though. We also did exchanges in the companionships for a few days, we got that call right as we were leaving our appointment with C (who's gonna live the Word of Wisdom! Woo ooooo!) So we called the other Hnas and we all ran around trying to pack more clothes and being crazy, it was fun. So I got sent back to Dorrego with Hna. Baker! She's so great! So full of joy and hope! I was so grateful to have those days with her. She helped me realize what I could be doing more of (como, disfrutando la mision) and I was happy also that Hna. Carson did the exchanges with Hna Vaughan! It was so great to talk to her like that again. It really helps to talk to someone with the same amount of time as you on the mission. They left on thursday night and the other Hnas got back around 12, so they really were walking in their sleep. We planned, visited C again and found a couple who has enough interest in the church for us to come back, their worry is their son who's having problems with drugs, so we're going to go visit him too. Today for P-day, I washed basically all my clothes, and made chocolate zuccinni cake. Can I just say it is SO good? It's pretty rico. I also washed my bedding because I think I have a few fleas in my bed.....hopefully I killed them.

In response: Yeah, I had a hard time liking Pippin, but then it had a duck in it and fun music, and it's about stage repellion, I liked it. I'm glad Jacob had fun! I totally know how you feel with the whole happy effect of seeing old Lehi-tes!  I have not gotten Andrew's letter yet, as far as I know. We'll have a meeting tomorrow so I may have it just not in my hands. He's a good boy, I am sad we missed each other by.....2 weeks? This'll be the last meeting before transfers! Agh! Apparently 7 new Hnas are coming into the mission! I'm scared that means I'll need to train! It's like that looming ghost that may not actually be real. We'll see.

Was Jacob tired after Prom? I've heard mixed reviews about Prom so I'm anxious to hear his account. I'm so happy everyone is doing so well! It's probably the spring effect. OH! So for Mother's Day, we found out that we can skype! again! So we'll figure out the details on that one soon and I'll get back to you. I am so proud of you for not looking yet! Joseph can have his if he hasn't already, that got to you guys really fast! Do I need anything else.....good recipes? Recient photos? uhhh........"How to lose 20 kilos before I get back" kit? But don't let that impede you from sending easter candy and things....... :D I'm glad Grandpa is doing better! Keep me updated! I am warm, I got a cold a bit ago but what do you do. And I am happy :) I'm anxious to see how these next few weeks pan out and I'm really praying for a double baptism! But we're just the Lord's hands, I'll be what He wants me to be. I love you so very much Mom and am so happy you are happy! Thank you for all of your support, love and really everything you do for me. Give Dad a big hug for me.

Autumn! it is autumn! April 23

Look! Autumn, yes I'm trying to find all the quotes I possibly can about autumn. But I don't have lots of time this week, we're traveling to Bahia for interviews with Pres. (for the last time!) and we're going tonight because the other bus place wasn't open so we were counciled to take the bus tonight and spend the night. But yeah, we have an appointment with C tonight with Hna. Gorvea and we need to pack a few things and...yeah, not much time, But hey! It's all good! In truth, I don't remember a whole bunch about this week at this moment, we did go to Monte Hermosa for the first time, it's kind of part of our area but we don't go there too much because it's mostly touristy. Oh! I got my self-bought christmas present this last tuesday! Leather tops for my scriptures! Hna Clark (first one) says that you are amazing and sweet and all around great, and I couldn't agree more! It is getting colder and all the oranges on our trees are turning orange with the leaves. Ok, I officially have 15 minutes to respond to wonderfu, great letters! Que Justicia no es....
Bueno, New car! What! I did not see that surprise at all :D Ha ha, people here are all like, yeah you're from the states, where you get a car for your birthday every year! I laugh and think, I don't have a car, I guess I kind of do! Weird.  Missionary week! I remember that! With sister and brother butterfield and You and Dad, pretty amazing!
I feel so bad because I loved reading your letter and it was so good with news and everything, I just have no time!  I'm doing well, my stomach is acting up but I feel like argentina is killing my body as far as what I can eat, I'm thinking about going vegaterian, or natural...whole food thing....no se, my stomach isn't doing well, but the rest of me is fine. it's getting colder but I have tights and scarves and boots (still!) yeah, my shoes are holding up really well actually and I'm hoping all my clothes and things can make it another leg. but I'm not worried. I think of you and pray for the family always! I love you my momma!

Ummmmm.......Fast week? April 9

¡Feliz Pascua!
So yes that may or may not have been one of the only things I could think to write about right at the beginning, but now I'm typing so I have more ideas. So apparently there are gypsies in Do right now and a lot of people are scared of them, they are kind of though of as robbers and a little witchie. They walk around in long cotton skirts and so some people think that we're gypsies when they see us, we knocked this door and this poor little old lady peeks around the door at us and asks who we are and what we want, to which we reply that we are missionaries and we want to bring you to Christ (we didn't actually say that but that's the gist of it). She opens the door a little more and asks if we're gypsies, to which we rely no, we have not seen the gypsies either, to which she replies that they are here and that she is scared of them. I'm not sure she believed that we were really missionaries and not gypsies just trying to get into her house. Porbre cita. We also were teaching this other older lady (85ish) and we said we wanted to give her a Book of Mormon and she asked what it cost and we said Not a thing because it's a gift, the only price is to read it, she didn't believe us. She said that we must have something for the book so she habbles out of the room into her room, comes back and puts 100 pesos on the table! That's kind of a lot! We tried to explain to her that the book really is a gift, that as missionaries we have a lot more, that we cannot take her money, that it's a rule that we cannot take her money, that if she'd like she could make us food for the book....kind of everything we had. In the end I changed the subject and while she wasn't looking slipped it into the pamphlet we were giving her too....I hope she doesn't get offended, or forget that she gave it to us, find the money later and think we're bribing her......We also went to see another older lady for her birthday (wow, we have a lot of those), she told us that not very many people came to see her for her birthday, I now have the desires to go see people and bring them cake on their birthdays! It was so sad to me! But after she invited us to eat emanadas at her house so I was happy :).
This week went super too fast. I can't believe that we're on week two of my third transfer in D, this has gone so much faster than Puerto ever did! I don't know how to make it slow down so that I can do all the things I need to before I'm done!
Other than that I'm doing good! We're getting cooler weather and we're thinking about buying more sweaters but we'll figure that out. Ah, the Clarks are out of state! Fa. I guess we'll be having a few road trips a few times a year. Laughing at dirty snow? .....That's a little weird Jofluf.
*part of my letter to her--- Hi!  How are all things? We got through the week without Jack Clark, and its a little sad.  They had a tough week getting settled, but we were able to "face time" with them on Friday.  Face time is kinda like skype for Iphones.  It was really cool. Dream dinners! I'll see how often we can go next year! I hope Jacob really enjoys the time in NY, it's something fun and he needs to remember to take pictures.* Ground Zero was still in shambled when I was there. Worker Joker, good boy :) Send me pictures of your adventures this weekend!

Our Easter was a bit weird too, everyone makes chocolate eggs to give to people here and we had to try out hand at it....we're not very good at it right now but we're done so it doesn't matter! It does feel weird to have Easter when it feels like we should be having Halloween. Marrage! Yay! It's about when a lot of my other friends are getting married too. That's so good! And you make those deviled eggs! We could but I don't think the rest of my house likes them very much, that's so sad no one was there to color eggs! But I feel like we'll find things to do with that next year. How's the end of the school year hitting? Senor year next year for Jaker! And I am perfectly ok with you doing a lot of indexing, we'll go to the temple and do some work, or better yet, you guys can go soon and do the work! I want to so bad and I hope we get to pass by the Temple here if it's open (we're praying!).

I'm rather boring this week because the rest of last week was so weird....maybe it's the changing seasons or that everything is the same for another transfer....donno. But I am happy and keeping warm and thank you so much for your letters! I love you so much Mom! LOVE!

Fwd: Malvinas

Sorry I didn't write! I was so sad to discover that none of the servers would be open for us to use yesterday, but luckily I can email today and not have to wait until next monday and do two weeks. Anyway, yes I'm still in D after the transfer, so is Hna. Clark! So is Hna. Sleight! So is Hna. Carson! Nothing changed in our little town as far as missionaries go. I did learn that Hna. Jenson from the MTC is in Puerto right now so that's kinda fun. Oh yes, the subject line, Yesterday was 30 years from when the war ended (? started? ended?) You'd think I've have caught that yesterday but no. We went to a park to see the dedication of it and there were all these flags and they sang some of their national anthum, it was pretty cool. But some of the people associate the USA with England and they don't like England because of the Malvinas, but hey, no one yelled at us! A man came up and started talking to us un engish a little bit so that was kinda fun. This last week.....I got the package! It was really nice to have American chocolate again, or where ever cadbury is from! We all watched conference in the Relief Society room and ate ourselves full of sandwiches, jelly beans and other fun things, just like home ;) Almost. We got to see it in English so I was happy. I put a few highlights in my planner from the conference (I took notes too but I summed them up for traveling purposes). I really liked Pres. Packer's talk! I loved the imagry of the little girl gathering what was beautiful in her world, and that she was what was beautiful in her world. There were a lot of talks on children and families this time around! Sometimes an apostle would speak and then someone else would end up speaking on basically the same subject and we wondered, how intune were they to receive the same message as an apostle! It was cool. Lots about love too, and improving how we love with whome we love, and to love God better, that was striking to me. Koelliker, Oaks, Eyring, those were some really great ones. Elder Holland! Don't Dely, it's getting late, Amen. Fa! I loved the perspective on the parable too. Hales, developing more Christ-like attributes. Ha ha, Uchtorf, Stop it! :) It was great to hear very specific great talks. I loved Saturday! Those were really great for me to hear. I was wondering about Bednar but I guess I'll read his talk when the Liahona gets here. Also the new presiding Bishopric and Relief Society! Whhhaaaaaaa? Also, did you guys watch the Fires of Faith about the King James Bible? That was cool. All in all I came away with this, Do I show my love for God as much as I should? I want to become better! It was really great, I LOVE conference in the mission! I love a lot of things in the mission but Conference is near the top of the list. With the transfers we got a new Leader de Distict and a new Leader de Zone, Guess who's lider de zona?! Elder Gravelle from the MTC! I don't get to see him too often because we only have meetings ever other week and he has 3 other districts to visit but it was good to finally find him in the mission!
So the Clarks are off....maybe I'll go spend a weekend or something in about a year.....Our next ward activity is a talent show! I'm excited to see what they ward brings. I do miss going out to eat with the family, we'll walk by places and I think, oh that'd be a fun place to go with Mom-in english and the states.... Ha ha ha. Anne Spelled with an E. We were talking about that in the house one night, all three of them! It was good fun. Indexing! Woot! Facebook stalking! Marrying! Russia! Ah, that was him.....I guessed totally wrong. Thank you! I love you momma and hope that everything goes well this next week! LOVE!

I made bread and Hna. Clark touched cats (I thought of home) and we did divisions with Puerrydon and there's a legit pink house!

March 26

Yes, we were walking down the street from our house and Hna. Clark saw some investigators in their car and had to do like a double, triple take to make sure, she made eye contact just as we were passing them
and she spun around and yelled, "Oh Hello!!!!.....I mean Hola......" I was laughing for a few blocks. We couldn't find them on Sunday and I'm blaming her! Just kidding, no, they were probably out with family.
This week was really good actually, we planned, sort of, our next activity for the ward and it's a talent show! I hope we can get lots of people to come, really we may be here to strengthen the ward more than anything.  It was
the birthday of the wife of the bishop so we made her a cake in the shape of a heart (really we cut part of it out to see if it was actually good (yes, I doubt my cooking) and then realized it would be slightly weird to give her a cake with mouse-bites out of it so we cut it into a heart). I may have over beat the cream a bit and it had bits
of undissolved chocolate milk mix in it...but I think she liked it! They went off to Urugua for three weeks! She learned we're having transfers this next week and got really sad that she may not see us again! She's become a good friend to all of us and it's a fine line between missionary and friend. I fixed my shoes today! They were kind of coming apart but I'm handy with a needle ;) Thanks for teaching me that Mom! And on Sunday we were asked to help with the Primary but then we were going to teach the card and things then the people asked me to help with the music and so it ended up being Hna. Clark helping the teacher, me running around, and the other two corralling the
nursery. It was really a fun expirience! Though I have a lot more respect for the teachers of primary and nursery now. Latey I've been thinking a lot about the upcoming conference and how I need to prepare myself to hear and understand. I need to find those questions that I need to have so that I can get what I need to out of the conference. I want to finish the last ensign before this conference starts and figure out if there is anything that hits me more. I'm SO excited about the conference!
